Migrating product warranty and support
As a global power solutions leader, Cummins creates the power solutions people depend on. It’s what we’ve done for more than 100 years. As the global economy expands, Cummins continues to design products to meet customer needs throughout the world. Often times, these needs are requirements specific for an intended region. These requirements may be necessary for legal, compliance, or customer needs.
An expanding global economy can enable the ability for product to be imported into regions for which the product was not intended. A product may appear to be identical to a product offered for another region but often has significant differences. While Cummins strives to offer excellent service and support, product differences may prevent local repair locations from being able to service product. This may include a lack of access to parts or service information.
Any engine purchased outside of our authorized Cummins distribution channels, are considered non-official products. All products in Latin America require certification from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) or Euro (e.g., VCA Vehicle Certification Agency).
In accordance with the above, Cummins only provides warranty, service, and technical support for genuine EPA or Euro certified products that have not been tampered with or otherwise modified from certified condition.*
Accordingly, Cummins will not warrant or service a product located in a region for where the product was not designed. Therefore, buyers must be sure a product is correct for the intended region.
Cummins values your business and wants to ensure you have the best customer experience.
