Cummins partnership with MEO Group featured in Business Enquirer magazine

Cummins Inc. was invited to appear in Issue 104 of Business Enquirer’s magazine as part of a feature introducing MEO Group’s new CEO, Darren Ang. The British publication covers leading news in business, investing, entrepreneurship, leadership and more.

Operating since 1970s, MEO has been providing specialised marine services such as chartering and project solutions to their clientele across Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa. Based in Singapore, MEO Group is a key fleet customer for Cummins within the Asia Pacific region.

Cummins Inc. supports MEO Group by powering the company’s vessels with engines and providing servicing to maintain their conditions. A total of 267 Cummins engines are used to help operate vessels owned by MEO – 124 main engines and 143 auxiliary engines.

Main engines involved in the partnership include the KTA38, KTA50 and QSK60 which are used to power MEO’s crew boats, with the addition of auxiliary engines such as KTA 19 DM, 6 BT 5.9DM, 6 CTA 8.3 DM, VTA28 DM and NTA855–DM to fulfill other power demands

“MEO have been a long-term partner with Cummins since 2015,” said Sara Vanan, the current account manager for MEO Group at Cummins Inc. “We supply propulsion and auxiliary engines for their new build vessels and aftermarket support for all their Cummins powered vessels. Our aftermarket support includes parts sales, engine overhauls and diagnostics repair. We have dedicated team in each region to support their vessel operation.”

The 75 Cummins-powered vessels are currently operating in various locations across the world; 3 in West Africa, 37 in Asia and 35 between Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
